ES BALUARD PRESENTS IN PERIFÈRIES13 ITS POLICIES REGARDING PUBLIC
Irene Amengual, educator of the Es Baluard’s Department of Education and Training, presents in Perifèries13 from October 23 to 25 the innovative policies being carried out by the museum in terms of its relationship with the public, which is included in the current project of Es Baluard’s direction. The museum, which has been expressly invited to participate in this meeting about art and culture that takes place this week in Valencia, will be represented on a working table coordinated by Amengual within the framework of the chapter entitled "Institutional Obsolescence. Culture is the rule, art is the exception".
Perifèries13 takes place from today through Saturday at Centre Cultural La Nau and is organized by the Department for Culture and Equality of the University of Valencia. This forum, which analyses experimental art projects in education, art and contemporary culture -is presented, according to the organizers, "as a traffic device against the hegemonic devices of transmission of culture: a cross-sectional, blurred-vision view opposed to the centered, focused and without affection vision". Among its b, notes that "in an hyper-interconnected and fragmented world", Perifèries13 "wants to be the plasma between the dying utopias landscape (as space saving), the impotence of know that "this is what you get" and emerging and innovative social trends (15 M, STOP Evictions, various LET’S SAVE, etc.), that with their actions serves as a catalyst for cultural paradigm shift".
