NEKANE ARAMBURU, MEMBER OF THE JURY OF THE IDEA ART DE MARSET PRIZE IN SWAB FAIR OF BARCELONA
Nekane Aramburu, the Es Baluard's director, was one of the members of the jury of the Swab Fair in Barcelona, which recognized the Island6 project of Shanghai. Aramburu was part of the IDEA ART Prize's jury, which arises by the desire of Marset to initiate an emerging contemporary art collection with the acquisition of a work of conceptual art in Swab Barcelona 2013, being a reward for its author and the gallery that represents him/her.
In addition to the Es Baluard's director, the members of this jury were Javier Marset (Director of Marset), Joan Amagat (art collector), Manuela Valentini (art curator) and Miquel Planas (Artist and Professor of Scultpure in Universidad de Barcelona).
This prize brings together the principles of Swab Barcelona: the promotion of new collectors as well as giving an opportunity for emerging artists to show their work in Barcelona for the first time.
