Requirements:


  • Adult with training and experience in marketing and public relations.
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Proven past experience.
  • Knowledge of strategic organisation and marketing programmes for museums, and experience in fundraising and cultural patronage.
  • Command of information technology at advanced user level, in the use of the social networks and database and graphic design tools.





Languages:


  • Catalan: level C awarded by the Junta Evaluadora.
  • Castilian.
  • English: advanced level, written and spoken.
  • Other languages an asset.





Duties:  


  • Assist the department coordinator in her management of relationships with companies, visitors...
  • Fundraising: Contacts with possible sponsors, patrons, contributors, hire of spaces...
  • Manage and update the museum’s database.
  • Manage actions for the museum’s Amics (friends) group and communicate with said group.
  • Manage the museum’s website in the sections corresponding to the department.
  • Promotion of the museum: Diffusion of the museum’s information (MailChimp, social networks).
  • Museum users: Questionnaires, target public studies, suggestions by visitors, complaints...
  • Contact with tour operators, companies, hotels, citizens’ associations, professional associations...
  • Reception, control and assistance with the events organised in the museum: Congresses, presentations...
  • Carry out guided tours.
  • Manage and design advertising and promotional elements.
  • Monitor the museum’s image.





Category:


  • Technical Assistant for the Marketing Department.





The following variables, amongst others, will be considered an asset:  


  • Training.
  • Experience in marketing.
  • Experience in museums / art centres.
  • Public relations capacity.
  • Languages: Catalan / English / Other languages.
  • Information technology.
  • Flexibility as regards timetables.





Contract:  


  • Maternity leave substitution contract. Period foreseen: 5 months.
  • Start of contract: To be determined. Estimate: 1st October 2013.
  • Contract comprising 40 hours / week.
  • Timetable: Monday / Tuesday / Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm – Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • Flexibility required with regard to timetable.





Gross Annual Salary:  


  • € 20,000 per annum.
