OPEN DOORS DAY AT ES BALUARD

On the occasion of Hispanidad’s Day, Es Baluard Hill celebrate an open day on Sunday 11 October from 10 am to 8 pm. Visitors will enjoy current exhibitions for free.

“Crossed Landscapes. Views of Es Baluard’s collection” was inaugurated last 17 September and is a selection of 60 works produced by 41 artists. The exhibition analyzes the different ways to observe relations between the museum’s pieces. A view to the works of Miquel Barceló, Anglada Camarasa, Per Barclay, Christian Boltanski, José Manuel Broto, Miguel Ángel Campano, Ramon Canet, Alberto García-Alix, Luis Gordillo, Alfredo Jaar, Pierre Gonnord, Anselm Kiefer, Jason Martin, Joan Morey, José María Sicilia, Joaquín Sorolla and Juan Uslé, among the others.

In addition, this Sunday’s open day is the last chance for visiting the exhibition “Joan Cortés. Memory of water”, placed at the ‘aljub’ (Es Baluard’s tank). The installation of this majorcan sculptor’s has received a great reception since its inauguration, last 9 July.
