OPEN DOORS DAY ON CONSTITUTION DAY

On the occasion of Constitution Day Es Baluard celebrates an open doors day on Tuesday, December 6, within its regular schedule of 10-20 hours. Visitors can enjoy the exhibitions "Vis a vis. Views of the Es Baluard collection" and "Los Carpinteros. Handwork - Constructing the World. Works from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary Collection."

"Vis-a-vis" part of the reading of two external commissioners: Antoni Garau and Teresa-M. Sala. "Views to the Es Baluard's collection" is a series of exhibitions, with its publications, reflecting the diversity of readings that allow the museum's collection. Started in 2009 with the exhibition "80's and driftings" and "Crossed Landscapes" both curated by Cristina Ros, had its continuation in 2010 with "The murmur of the world: from informalism to the new abstractions, 1950-2010" by the historian and art critic Juan Manuel Bonet.

For the first time in a Spanish museum reaches Baluard the exhibition "Los Carpinteros. Handwork - Constructing the World. Works from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary Collection" with works from the collection TB A21 and with the sponsorship of Fundación Banco Santander . Under the name of "Los Carpinteros" artists Marco Antonio Castillo Valdés (Camagüey, Cuba 1971) and Dagoberto Rodriguez Sánchez (Cuba Caibarién 1969) have made ​​a work of great individuality that grows framed by the Cuban revolution and the social and economic context that country. Los Carpinteros are expressed especially through installations, sculptures and watercolors.
