Open doors to mark Three Kings Day

Es Baluard will celebrate on Sunday, January 5, the Three Kings Day, with open doors from 10 am to 3 pm.

The museum holds currently the temporary exhibitions: "Broto. Great Scores" that ends on the same Sunday as well as "Reproductibilitat 1.0" (a tour from the origins of photography to its ultimate transformation, with works from both the museum's collection and private hands and public institutions) and Pareidolia, an art installation by the artist Amparo Sard (Son Servera, Mallorca 1973).In addition to the new showroom "Implosion. First Movement” and permanent room "Miró. Ubú on Stage".

With “Implosion. First Movement” the museum begins first phase of its planned reorganization of collection for the 10th anniversary. Structured into four distinct areas, Implosió. 1st moviment" includes experimentation of the Avant-garde in the early twentieth century, through Cubism, as first move to break with the established art revolution and subsequent languages led out by surrealism and Dada together with the development of American Abstract Expressionism and informality in Europe after World War II.
