Coinciding with its 10th anniversary, Es Baluard opens next Thursday, January 30, at 8 pm "Implosió" , a major exhibition that deeply analyzes and reorders the permanent collection. Curated by Nekane Aramburu, Es Baluard’s director, “Implosió" represents the starting point for display, document, investigate and disclose the museum's collection. The exhibition, covering the main floor of the building, presents a chronological and pedagogic journey, from modern art to the avant-garde experimentation that took place in the early twentieth century, to contemporary pieces of current acquisitions.
For the day of the official opening, Es Baluard presents in the museum’s auditorium at 9.30 pm a concert by Jansky -formed by the poet Laia MaLo and organic electronics by Jaume Reus- organized by Rosa Perez as part of the radio programme Fluido Rosa (Radio3) to be held in Es Baluard from 8.30 pm. Meanwhile, in the Aljub hall will be carried out the “Implosió” party from 9 pm throughout midnight.
JANSKY is an electroverse spokenword duet with digital instruments, Jaume Reus' hipercontemporary transverse flute and Laia MaLo's voice and verse. In January 2013 they introduced their debut album Un big bang a la gibrella, published by Primeros Pasitos, in festivals such as Sónar Advanced Music (Barcelona), Monkey Week (Cádiz) or Kregi Sztuki (Poland). Their live set is an interaction of poetry and music from two particular perspectives: one which is physical and organic; the other, digital and oneiric. Visual artist Amadeo Orellana created the artwork for their album and for their live shows.
