On Thursday March 24, 2011 at 11 am was the opening of the permanent exhibition “Animar.te” and the new installations of the UIB's LADAT unit of animation and new technologies.
“Animar.te, 20 years of computer animation at the UIB” was first exhibited at Es Baluard from October 1, 2008 to February 1, 2009 and at the American University's Katzen Arts Center (Washington) from March 23 to May 2, 2010.
The objective of this exhibition is to recognize the work performed by the computer animation group of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) for two decades now, and specifically the MA ISCA master’s degree, a national and international referent.
Attending at the opening were (at the image, from left to right): the rectora of the UIB, doctor Montserrat Casas; the Unitat LADAT d'Animació i Tecnologies Audiovisuals's director, doctor Juan Montes de Oca; the counselor of Economy and Finance, Carles Manera; the Es Baluard's director, Cristina Ros.
