'OTRAS MIRADAS: BIBLIOTECA NACIONAL DE ESPAÑA' SAYS GOODBYE

This Sunday, December 9 will be the last opportunity to visit the exhibition "Otras Miradas: Biblioteca Nacional de España" which Es Baluard hosts from October 9 and was opened on October 31 with the presence of the Director of Biblioteca Nacional de España, Glòria Pérez-Salmerón.

"Otras Miradas: Biblioteca Nacional de España" is a project curated by Juan Manuel Bonet to mark the third anniversary of the Library. The museum the organizers, Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and Biblioteca Nacional de España (BNE), have chosen in the Balearics is Es Baluard. The exhibition consists of a postcard and a painting that reflect the relationship of Jorge Luis Borges and his sister Norah to Mallorca.   Specifically, it is a postcard of the Borges brothers sent to the poet Adriano Valley in 1920 and the fresh Untitled, painted by Norah Borges in 1920 and that belongs to the Es Baluard's collection.  

Es Baluard has been the center chosen by BNE and AC/E in the Islands to establish dialogues between works from BNE and museums around Spain. Some of the other cities participating are: Barcelona (Museu Picasso), Albacete (Museo Provincial), Granada (Museo de Bellas Artes), Logroño (Museo Würt), Melilla (Museo de Arqueología e Historia), Mérida (Museo Nacional de Arte Romano), Murcia (Museo de Bellas Artes), Santander (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo), Sevilla (Museo de Bellas Artes), Tenerife (TEA, Tenerife Espacio de las Artes) and Toledo (Museo de Santa Cruz).   

In addition, they are the participating museums in Madrid (Museo Nacional del Prado, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Museo Lázaro Galdiano, Museo del Romanticismo, Palacio Real, Museo de Ciencias Naturales, Museo de Historia de Madrid, Museo de América y Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando), which displayed their exhibitions in a project's first phase.
