«Paparkone» is the personal project of Roberto Paparcone. Rised in Naples (Italy), in a land of contrasts, colors and art, Roberto always carries with him such an interesting baggage. From father teacher of mathematics and mother pianist, the dichotomy between rational and creative continues to inspire his work.
Kitchen lover, he keeps his grandmother’s manuscript recipe, from there the passion for the kitchen and the notebooks, faithful tools always on his desk and in his pocket. Architect, designer, illustrator and ceramist he has been trained among Naples, Rotterdam and Barcelona. Roberto combines the profession of architect and designer with pottery and often points of view are mixed becoming an unexpected product. His works as pottery maker have architectural shapes and his interior design works are full of handcrafted details.
Man 100% Mediterranean, he decides to move to Mallorca where the force of nature predominates. Here he explores the landscapes and colors, molds the clay and experiences new textures. Not interested in massive production, Paparkone is focused on slow handcrafted design. In a way he takes care of his clients giving to them an object with soul and unique.
For Es Baluard, Paparkone shows a collection of soft white pottery inspired in the light and textures of Mediterranean Sea. Stone shaped plates ‘Sassi’ and ‘Ikebana’ and ‘Kodama’ flower pots are the newest collections showed here at Es Baluard
You can find this project at Es Baluard from October 7, 2019 until March 30, 2020.
