Poetry Slam Mallorca and Es Baluard signed a collaboration agreement in which this entity, dedicated to promote poetry on stage and word-show becomes partner-collective of the museum for a period of one year. The Es Baluard’s director, Nekane Aramburu, and Annalisa Marí and Tomeu Ripoll, responsible of Poetry Slam Mallorca, presented the agreement this morning, as well as activities that will result from this. Poetry Slam Mallorca becomes the second partner-collective of the museum together with AA:TOMIC.
Specifically, this relationship between Es Baluard and Poetry Slam and Mallorca will result in a regular program of activities or actions aimed at developing the creation and/or agreement with the evolution and the drive of contemporary society in constant evolution. Specifically, following the agreement, will place these four major slams (click on each for more information):
All the slams will be in Es Baluard at 8.30 pm and the tickets, that can be purchased at the museum's box office, cost 3€.
Poetry Slam Mallorca is a cultural project based on the poetry on stage and word-show that has been held since 2010 in Palma. The poetry slam is a movement based on poets tournaments faced by the notes of a jury chosen from the audience.
Poetry Slam Mallorca is one of the national pioneers slams and is part of the national network of slam poetry, Poetry Slam Spain, through which meetings and national competitions are conducted, from which the poets which will represent us internationally are selected. Founded in 2010 jointly by the Irene La Sen and Annalisa Marí, today this association is co-direct together with them by Tomeu Ripoll and James Miele. Its important pedagogical work in these four years has resulted in workshops at colleges and festivals, in addition to co-organize Live on Març Festival, which brought together representatives of some of the most important poetry scene nationwide.
