THE BOARD OF THE ES BALUARD FOUNDATION APPROVES THE ACCOUNTS OF 2010

The Foundation Es Baluard Museu d'Art Moderni Contemporani de Palma's Board has approved today, in regular session, the museum's accounts of the year 2010, during which had a budget of 3,032,957 euros. The amount of income and expenses within this period suffered a decrease of 24.6% compared to 2010, mainly due to non materialisation of the investments originally budgeted. It has been attached an audit report without objection. Also in today's meeting they have been ratified the basis of the contest for the position of museum's director.

During the today's meeting in Es Baluard, were resumed the museum's activities during 2011, a year in which Es Baluard registered 334.506 visitors and 17.916 people attended the culture and educative activities. Within this period, the museum hosted 8 temporary exhibitions (“Extimacy. Art, intimacy and technology”, “Eduardo Arroyo. Painting literature”, “Jorge Mayet. Arquitectura para las almas”, “Antoni Socías + Caramo Fanta. Mi otro yo con algunas contradicciones”, “Julião Sarmento. 2000-2010”. “Christian Boltanski. Signatures”, “Vis-a-vis. Views of Es Baluard's collection”, “Los Carpinteros. Handwork-Constructing the world. Works from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary Collection”). During 2011, they were published 8 catalogues.
