THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPROVES THE BUDGET AND ACTUATION PLAN FOR 2013
The Board of Trustees of the Foundation Es Baluard Museu d'Art Moderni Contemporani de Palma approved today the museum's accounts of the year 2013, during which the institution will have a budget of 2,045,300 euros. The amount of income from the Balearic Government, the Council of Mallorca and the Palma City Hall is 1,020,000 euros. The approval of this account means 37% decrease of the institutional incomes compared to that of Es Baluard in 2012. Furthermore, the account suppose a 21% in self-financing.
The Actuation Plan for 2013 is based on the increasing of the museum's social and education actions, reassert the meaning of belonging of the citizens and that Es Baluard becomes the "museum of the Balearics". The administration will focus on Education and divulgation activities, to invigorate the collection and optimize the museum's resources through room hiring, the museum's shop, collaborations with sponsors, amongst other actions, aiming to increase the museum's own incomings. It is noted that Es Baluard will celebrate in January, 2014 its 10th birthdate.
