THE FESTIVAL MIRADAS DE MUJERES TO CLOSE IN ES BALUARD WITH CHANTAL MAILLARD

The "Festival Miradas de Mujeres" officially closes in Mallorca tomorrow Wednesday, March 27 at 8 pm. It will be in Es Baluard, where Matar a Platón en concierto will be performed. This is a poetic-musical staging curated by Su Alonso and Inés Marful, in which Chantal Maillard interprets her work Matar a Platón, winner of the Spanish National Poetry Prize 2004, along with the cellist Barbara Meyer and and multi-instrumentalist Chefa Alonso.   Chantal Maillard is a poet and philosopher. With Matar a Platón was awarded the National Prize for Poetry (Spain) 2004, and with Hilos received the Premio Nacional de la Crítica de poesía castellana and the Premio Andalucía de la Crítica 2007. Among her essays on aesthetics stand La sabiduría como estética (1995), La razón estética (1998) and Contra el arte y otras imposturas (2009).
