The work “L’oblit”, meaning oblivion, is comprised of a videographic piece complemented by an ensemble of work on paper. A total of nine drawings created with near-obsessive perforation follow on from one another on a neutral white background which initially transmits fragility, purity, but upon deeper contemplation reveals different fragments narrated in the video which refer us to a vital experience which may sometimes be painful – oblivion. These drawings demand meticulous work from the artist in the form of perforating the surface of the paper with miniscule needles of different sizes, so that they create images through use of the negative space.
