The submission, anxiety, repression and solitude that affect us in our daily life, and the desire to flee towards a state of permanent happiness and create our own artificial paradise is what Núria Marquès sets out before us in this series of pieces made between 2007 and 2010. States of mental fragility in a society that moves forward at a frenetic pace, emotional disorders which alter our capacity to cope with everyday life and are dealt with in these drawings in diverse formats and short animations. Conceived as fables, they respond to that emotional state of instability, they are unfair stories featuring a series of invented characters who live in an unreal world like a cathartic process.
