Christmas workshop

I AM/WE ARE A PLACE

It is an intergenerational activity for adults, young people and children from 6 years old. You are invited to come with the people of the family such as grandfathers, grandmothers, mothers and fathers, uncles and aunts, cousins and cousins … Everyone can participate!

In «I am / we are a place», we will activate the bodies, the memory and the thought  through proposals in dialogue with the creative process and the work of Antònia del Río. We will think about the landscape, the places that surround us and the memories that we have, to share them with the people who accompany us. We will move the body and make the words dance, to build stories about real spaces, remembered or imagined. Are you in?.

Workshop by Antònia del Río. Artist, researcher and teacher.*

Workshop for families with children from 6 to 12 years old:

  • Tuesday, January 3 and Wednesday, January 4, 2023
  • Timetable: 11 a.m.

*Antònia del Río develops her research and artistic practice around the mechanisms of transmission and the loss of knowledge, which establish an inevitable dialogue between memory and oblivion. A theme that has been developed by focusing on issues as diverse as the trace, that absent, the memory, the collective memory, the permanence and the discards in History, and also the memory stores, such as libraries and the files.

Autumn Workshop

ANUSAR-NOS

Based on the work of Jorge Eduardo Eielson we will seek to generate a space to play and to experience using our own body, our memories and roots as material from which to create affective and bodily landscapes. Thinking the museum as a laboratory for experimentation, we will approach a shared experience, activating new links through the action of tying and untying as a starting point.
