Es Baluard Museum in collaboration with Puig de Sant Pere Neighbors Association and the Association of Filmmakers of the Balearic Islands (ACIB) propose the program Cineastes illencs vol. 1.
The cycle will start on October 4 with a weekly session that will be distributed over the Fridays of the same month. The filmmakers will accompany us to present their films, attend the screening and participate in the subsequent debate, which will be moderated by fellow filmmaker Luis Ortas, coordinator of the film forum.
Cineastes illencs vol. 1. is the first part of a series of screenings made up of four films by directors from the Balearic Islands that review the recent history of our cinema. The guests are: Rafa Cortés, Marga Melià, Antonina Obrador and Toni Bestard.
The selection of the four feature films includes some early works by the authors. The films that can be seen there are: “Yo” by Rafa Cortés, “Bittersweet Days” by Margalida Melià, “Quest” by Antonina Obrador and “Pullman” by Toni Bestard. With this cycle, the aim is to bring zero kilometer cinema closer to a general public, to generate ties and encourage active participation to encourage dialogue and knowledge about the creative process in cinema.
