LECTURE WITH CARLOS JOVER AND JUAN REDÓN
Es Baluard Museu d'Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma hosted last 30th June, with great success, a lecture by the collector Juan Redón and Carlos Jover, critic of art and curator of the exhibition “In Private 2. The unamiable option”, to be visited until 5th September. The Carlos Jover's thesis, exposed and extended during the talk and around which is based the Es Baluard's exhibition, parts from the theory that collectors are art kidnappers and that, in some cases, these are never showed publicly because of their unamiable character.
Juan Redón is architect and one of the collectors that ceded art pieces to “In Private 2. The unamiable option”. Specifically, are part of his collection the works JAM Montoya, Los encantos del monje, 1990 and Bruce Labruce, Sense títol. Red Rum, 2001.
