ES BALUARD WILL HOST THE INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR "CONTEMPORARY ART IN HOSPITALS"

Es Baluard will host next October 4, 5 the international seminar "Contemporary art in hospitals", to mark the end of the homonym project developed over the years 2011 and 2012 by Es Baluard, the Centre d'Art la Panera (Lérida) and the Centre Régional d'Initiatives pour l'art contemporain, Le Bbb, (Toulouse).
 
The seminar will offer up the results of the different projects from the three art centres involved in the "Contemporary art in hospitals" programme and bring together specialists from the field of contemporary culture who are currently working in this area. Geared towards professionals from the fields of art education and education in museums, and also towards professionals from the psycho-social and health domains, the goal of the seminar is to consider the possibilities and benefits of working from the basis of artistic practices in hospital contexts.
 
Anyone attending who wishes to do so may participate by presenting a communication. Those interested should send a summary of a maximum of 300 words, giving the names of the authors, the title of the communication proposal and the institutions from the fields of art and / or health involved in the programme in question. The interventions will last a maximum of 20 minutes.
 
Proposals may be sent in from 1^st August to 10^th September 2012, to the following e-mail address: difusio01@esbaluard.org. A selection will be made of all the applications received and the outcome will be communicated on 14^th September 2012. The programme, the enrolment form and registration details will be posted on this website as from 22^nd August.
