ENCUENTROS CON LA MIRADA

"Encuentros con la mirada" (encounters with the look) is a project of Es Baluard conducted with the Gesma's Hospital Area of Mental Health with the support of l'Obra Social "la Caixa".  

Coordinated by the Es Baluard Education Area, this project by Rif Spahni and Issa Watanabe is conducted by Rif Spahni and Bàrbara Vidal and is carried out with 7 users of the Gesma's Hospital Area of Mental Health from March 27 to July 12, 2012. It's aimed at using photography and artistic creations to reflect on our own identity. The results of the workshop will be exhibited in the museum from July 26 to August 19.

The project
"Encuentros con la mirada" consisted of a first phase of approach to visual language from the analysis of the work of contemporary artists and technic formation with photography as a tool, in order to raise awareness of the expressive resources provided by art.

Subsequently, the work was carried out in different locations. Finally, it was screened an image of the participants taken according to three themes (the self portrait, the object and the space) to proceed to the final stage, the work edition.
