Entre Teles (Between Fabrics)

It´s a workshop part of Es Baluard´s program GranGent/GentGran that, from a social and educational level, aims to respond to groups of older people. With GranGent/GentGran the knowledege of the collective is put in value, offering them quality cultural activities, thus enhancing an active ageing.

The workshop will take place, during the Summer of 2018, at diferent nursing homes in the island (Palma, Costa de’n Blanes and Alcúdia). We will intend to relate the participants life stories, focused on gender and historic memory, with works from the museum´s permanent collection, which link with these themes. We will transit between the public and the private, collective memory and personal memory… We will use textiles to shape the experiences rescued by participants, thus articulating the metaphor of a time.
