ME_MMIX

The ME_MMIX Festival (Electronic Music_Mixed Music and Videoscreening) is a project of the Culture Area of the City Council of Palma and Fundació Palma Espai d’Art.  

The ME_MMIX Festival's main aim is to programme contemporary music, linked to electronic media. It also aims to promote interdisciplinary scenic related to technology. ME_MMIX Festival will present electronic and mixed works in every concert but, to provide a broader view of music from the 20th and 21st centuries, also includes works without electronics. The ME_MMIX programmeaddresses a broad creative spectrum always linked to the academic tradition, technological innovation and contemporary creation.  

The art director and coordinator of the festival is the Majorcan composer Mateu Malondra Flaquer.  

The Festival will come to the Es Baluard's Aljub hall on Saturday August 10 at 8.30 pm, with performances by the artists Tomeu Moll (Mallorca), KAUM+Pedro Servera (Germany, Argentina and Mallorca) and SESSION 1 (a collaboration of Pedro Servera and Mateu Malondra Flaquer (Mallorca)).
